Statement, Upcoming and Recent Shows
The foundation for my work is collected firsthand experience however I’ve found that the personal is easily assimilated into the greater human narrative to the extent that the personal is, in fact, very general. We are all collections of events and happenings and therefore are able to communicate largely through the sharing of our stories. My stories have a running theme of negotiating the tragic slapstick of the encumberments that we ourselves heap on our backs. I seek to find the optimism in the human spirit that, despite the binding ties, we continue doing what we must.
